Two-geodesic transitive graphs of prime power order
In a non-complete graph $Gamma$, a vertex triple $(u,v,w)$ with $v$ adjacent to both $u$ and $w$ is called a $2$-geodesic if $uneq w$ and $u,w$ are not adjacent. The graph $Gamma$ is said to be $2$-geodesic transitive if its automorphism group is transitive on arcs, and also on 2-geodesics. We first produce a reduction theorem for the family of $2$-geodesic transitive graphs of prime power or...
متن کاملGraphs which are locally a cube
Let (e,, e2, e3, e4) be the standard basis of R4. The 24-ceI& is a 4-dimensional regular polytope whose vertices are the 24 vectors *q =te, (i # i) of R4, two vertices being adjacent iff the angle between the corresponding vectors is 60’. It is well known [2] and easy to check that the l-skeleton (i.e. the graph consisting of the vertices and edges) of this polytope has the following property: ...
متن کاملLocally s-distance transitive graphs
We give a unified approach to analysing, for each positive integer s, a class of finite connected graphs that contains all the distance transitive graphs as well as the locally s-arc transitive graphs of diameter at least s. A graph is in the class if it is connected and if, for each vertex v, the subgroup of automorphisms fixing v acts transitively on the set of vertices at distance i from v, ...
متن کاملLocally s - arc transitive graphs with two different quasiprimitive actions ?
Previous work of the authors has shown that an important class of locally (G, 2)arc transitive graphs are those for which G acts faithfully and quasiprimitively on each of its two orbits on vertices. In this paper we give a complete classification in the case where the two quasiprimitive actions of G are of different types. The graphs obtained have amalgams previously unknown to the authors and...
متن کاملGeodesic topological cycles in locally finite graphs
We prove that the topological cycle space C(G) of a locally finite graph G is generated by its geodesic topological circles. We further show that, although the finite cycles of G generate C(G), its finite geodesic cycles need not generate C(G).
